The difficulty level isn’t clear. People commonly say both tests are quite similar in difficulty. But the main contrast is between the CELPIP and IELTS formats, which means some sections could be easier or harder for different test takers.

The speaking section of CELPIP test is considered slightly difficult but the Reading and Writing sections are quite easy. Its difficulty level is said to be similar to the IELTS exam.

CELPIP general is accepted by the IRCC as a valid language exam and hence, can be given to get a study visa in Canada.

The CELPIP tests are accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for different permanent residency and immigration streams as well as for professional certification for various organizations.

You can retake the CELPIP exam after a gap of 30 days. If you re-register and take the exam within 30 days, the exam will be either canceled or won’t be counted.

The scores of the CELPIP exam are generally considered valid by various institutions for the period of 2 years however it is determined by their individual policies.

A minimum of 7 points in each category is considered as the CELPIP passing score, however, a result of 8 or higher is considered to be excellent.

The CELPIP writing test has this spelling checker, which sounds great, but it can be tricky to decide on the right word with all the options it throws at you.
